Jewel Care

Given our commitment to quality, we suggest some tips for the care of your jewelry in order to maintain the original shine and finish of the first day.

MATERIALS EMPLOYED

-STERLING SILVER

This is a precious white metal.  It is an alloy that contains more than 90% of silver and the other 10%is copper.  The cooper is used to give hardness and resistance to the piece.

-GOLD VERMEIL

Gold vermeil consists of covering sterling silver with a thick layer of 18K gold. Therefore, jewels keep their initial appearance for much longer, unlike baths that are less durable.

-SPECIAL FINE ALLOY BRASS FOR JEWELRY

It remains unpolished and it has a similar appearance to gold because of its yellow colour. It is a hard material that protects the jewel against wear. It is also highly resistant to corrosion and oxidation.

COLOUR AND SHINY APPEARANCE

With the purpose of giving different finishes to the metal and preserve its properties as long as possible, we manufacture plated jewelry. We do never apply golden or plated covers. As a result, the plating makes jewels much more durable and of higher quality.

Due to the gold plating, various degrees of colour are possible, from a more reddish colour to a more yellow one maintaining the same quality.

Our rhodium plating, is not only a very resistant metal, but it has also a similar appearance to white gold having an intense shine.

PROTECT YOUR JEWELRY

It is important that the pieces do not come into contact with abrasive and chemical products such as perfumes, makeup or body lotions. Sometimes the sweat itself and the skin pH could affect the shine and colour of the jewel. It is recommended neither spruce yourself up wearing it, not practice any physical activity that could cause excessive sweating. We also suggest to remove your jewelry if you have the intention to take a bath in the sea or in the swimming-pool.

Proper conservation is essential for a long life of the pieces. They must be kept in dry places and inside their box or bag, away from humid environments such as bathrooms. Jewels are fragile objects that must be carefully cared for, avoiding excessive pressure or unnecessary twisting.

CLEANING AND CARE OF STERLING SILVER JEWELRY

Because of its nature and when it is in contact with air, silver tends to lose its luster, first acquiring a yellow colour and then turning black.

In order to avoid this problem, you can wash your jewels frequently by using warm water and mild soap. You can dry them with a microfiber cloth. If a lot of dirt gets on the jewels, you can let them soak for a few minutes and clean them with a very soft brush.

If the jewels still do not have its initial appearance, you can contact us to proceed with a new polishing of the pieces and you do get them in return as the first day.

CLEANING AND CARE OF 18K GOLD PLATED AND RHODIATED JEWELRY

As it happens with silver jewelry, you can wash this type of pieces regularly by using warm water and mild soap and dry them with a microfiber cloth.

Jewels will inevitably lose its initial appearance due to the daily operation and wear, but we can make a new plating of them. If it happens, do not hesitate to contact us at this respect.

CARE OF SEMI-PRECIOUS STONES, ZIRCONIA AND FRESHWATER CULTIVATED PEARLS

These kinds of jewels must be handled with care. Try to keep them separately to avoid rubbing between them and possible scratches. You can clean them with a soft cloth avoiding any chemical product that can make them lose their shine.
